How to Make a Homemade Face Mask for Dry Skin

Dry skin can present itself with itch, irritation and rough skin. The face is one of the most visible parts of our bodies, so when facial skin begins exhibiting these signs of dryness, it is important to bring moisture back to the skin. Ingredients that, for the most part, you already have in your home can be used to create a mask that will refresh your facial skin. This is how to make a homemade face mask for dry skin.

Steps

Eggs and Honey Mask

  1. Mix the whites of 1 egg in a small bowl until they thicken slightly.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon (0.17 fl oz) honey and 1 teaspoon (0.17 fl oz) sunflower oil and mix together well.
  3. Smear the mixture onto your face and leave it for 15 minutes.
  4. Rinse your face with warm water.

Banana and Yogurt Mask

  1. Place 2 bananas, 1 tablespoon (0.5 fl oz) honey and 1/2 cup (4 fl oz) yogurt in a blender.
  2. Blend the ingredients until the ingredients have come together in a uniform mixture.
  3. Spread the mixture onto your face and leave it for 20 minutes, or until it dries.
  4. Rinse your face with warm water.
  5. Cucumber and Aloe Mask
  6. Peel the cucumber.
  7. Remove the seeds from the cucumber.
  8. Chop the cucumber into small pieces.
  9. Place the cucumber pieces into a food processor with 2 tablespoons (1 fl oz) aloe vera.
  10. Pulse the food processor until the mixture is a smooth paste.
  11. Apply the mixture to your face and leave it on for 30 minutes.
  12. Rinse the mask off with cold water.
  13. Butter, Mango and Egg Yolk Mask
  14. Peel the skin off of the mango and cut it into small pieces.
  15. Place the mango pieces, 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (0.5 fl oz), 1 egg yolk, 1/2 teaspoon (0.08 fl oz) chamomile oil and 1/2 teaspoon (0.08 fl oz) apricot oil into a food processor.
  16. Pulse the food processor until the mixture is a smooth paste.
  17. Apply the mixture to your face and leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes.
  18. Wash the mask off with warm water and a clean wash cloth.
  19. Splash your face with cold water to complete the effect.
  20. Clay Mask
  21. Place kaolin clay, 1 tablespoon (0.5 fl oz) cornflour, 1 tablespoon (0.5 fl oz) wheat germ oil and 1 tablespoon (0.5 fl oz) apricot oil in a small bowl.
  22. Mix the ingredients together with enough fresh water to make them into a creamy substance.
  23. Spread the mixture onto your face and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes.
  24. Rinse your face with warm water.
  25. Splash your face with cold water to complete the effect.
  26. Apply a moisturizer to seal the moisture into your skin.
